active 7 months, 3 weeks agoIn summer 2018, Headwaters Foundation launched an early childhood initiative by inviting six communities to partner to advance early childhood collaborations in one of three areas: healthy pregnancy, positive parenting, and school readiness. Flathead County was invited to partner with Headwaters Foundation in an implementation grant of up to $200,000 each year the next six years. At a June 20, 2018 meeting, the community selected the Flathead County Health Department to serve as the anchor organization for the local initiative. At a follow-up community meeting on August 23, 2018, participants selected Positive Parenting as its focus area, and identified potential Design Team members. The Design team submitted its Scope of Work for the first year on October 30, 2018.
